A Thrill Gift For The Backyard

Have a blast on this backyard ziplineDuring the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, they had a zip line downtown. It certainly was something I was interested in doing but my fear of heights stopped me (so did the thought of waiting in line for hours).

There’s a zip line at Grouse Mountain. That would be incredible and the view out of this world, but no doubt I would pass out from fear at that height 🙂

Today in my search for gifts for my site I came across a wonderful alternative that I could actually do. A backyard zipline. Woot!

This is the backyard zipline with an integrated seat allows you to swoop through the air while remaining fairly close to the ground.

A galvanized steel cable wraps around two trees at an incline and you can zip from one end to the other while holding the pulley with an easy to pull hand brake that slows or stops the zipline.

Similar to ziplines found at luxury ski resorts and adventure camps, it enables you to swoop up to 90′. The rope length and seat height adjust easily to accommodate zipliners of all heights.

They say it is for kids but it can actually support up to 250 lbs and I weigh a lot less than that. Lots of adults are under that weight restriction.

This makes a great present for a kid, or an adult.  But be prepared for lots of visitors who will want the thrill too!

Check this out here!

I want this gift.  I am so  ready for the thrill I have been waiting for. How about you?
