Skates can be a cool gift, yes really!
When I was a kid I loved to ice skate, so when roller wheels came out that you could attach to shoes I was so ready for them. Took my Mum a bit of time to let me have them though.
Then came roller skates. They were huge fun. Whether I was on the road, or on a park path.
So many memories.
I remember buying them for my nieces and my sister being so angry at me because she thought they might hurt themselves. But they loved them. I wonder if they remember.
I moved on to roller blades. Took me a bit of time to get the balance, but once I did it was gliding.
Now these!
Sidewinding Circular Skates. The Post Modern Skateboard.
These are the annular skates that are propelled by leaning side to side, allowing you to glide along as if riding a skateboard without pushing off the ground. Riders simply place their feet on the two platforms and lean side-to-side to rotate the rubber wheels around the feet, propelling riders forward in a serpentine motion similar to longboard skateboarding.
Since the wheels are not connected, riders can easily perform 720° spins and turn on a dime, while stopping is achieved by placing toes on the ground. The wheels are 10″ in diameter, allowing them to traverse short grass and dirt surfaces.
Supports up to 200 lbs.
